APPROVAL OF THE 21ST CENTURY COMMUNITY LEARNING CENTER-NORTH GRANT APPLICATION TO THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION
Description
CONTINUATION: Grant funds of $700,000.00 provides funding for after school and summer remediation and enrichment programs for students and their families in Title I eligible schools in north Sarasota County. The school district, in partnership with several community based organizations, will provide mentoring and tutoring in mathematics, reading, and writing as well as provide enrichment activities in science, visual and performing arts, technology, and recreation.
Recommendation
That the School Board of Sarasota County approves the 21st Century Community Learning Center-North Grant proposal.
